Maintenance & hygiene

Keep the main unit clean and dry. The probe wire can be wiped with a damp cloth but avoid submerging the probe tip in liquids unless it is rated as waterproof. Replace the battery when the display dims. Do not bend the probe wire sharply to avoid damaging the internal sensor conductor.
